I am now keeping a running tally of how many times I fall in public and make a total fool out of myself. For example I had to meet with somebody the other night at 8:30, so I took a short nap before and of course overslept. So I got up in a daze still half asleep and was running down the 3 flights of stairs in my apartment building and right when I got to the outer door my foot got caught on something and I literally went flying out the doors right onto my face. It kinda knocked me out for a minute because i flew over 3 steps and it was a long way down to the ground, it was probably one of the roughest falls in my life. To make it worse standing not 10 feet away were about 5 or 6 young Korean girls who were all staring at me with their mouths wide open. I just got up and casually walked away and acted like "what you've never seen an American flying through the doors of an apartment building like superman!"
Another time I was just getting on a bus I put my money in the slot and bent over to get my change and the bus driver looked at me a smirked and hit the gas really hard (okay maybe he didn't smirk at me but I like to think he did) I didn't even have a chance to get my change, the bus lurched forward so hard that it knocked me to my knees and I went sliding a couple feet. Not many people on the bus but it was still really embarrassing, I pulled myself up and just sat down in a seat and put my head down.
Those are just two of the better stories the rest are me tripping on a sidewalk and then me pretending that I was going to run anyways.

Warning Graphic photos!

A bunch of us were walking through the city last Monday night and came across this, a man who threw up then passed out drunk with the door half open with his head on the armrest. Keep in mind this is right in the center of town in front of Mcdonalds and Pizza hut, with a lot of people walking by and not thinking twice. This is a really common thing here, on any random night I have to navigate through business men peeing in public and throwing up in the middle of the sidewalk (it's a wonder how I keep my shoes clean).

I thought this was funny
I went out to lunch last week with one of the Korean teachers, she in her 40's married with 2 kids and the nicest Korean teacher I work with by far. We were talking about how I liked it so far in Korea and how everyone is so nice here, then we started talking about her son and how he likes Harry Potter books and she's like "you know what, you kinda look like Harry potter." I'm like "really I never noticed," and she says "well all Americans look the same Anyway." I laughed for about 10 minutes and told her we think the same about Asians.
I don't know if this is funny but I sure thought it was.

Got Soju?
We took a trip to Yongson last Saturday where they have a huge electronic market to buy a camera for Mike. We ended up getting lost and wondered down a shady looking alley, how bad could it really be right? Wrong it was nasty, this guy was totally passed out in the middle of the street in 95 degree heat with a bottle of booze next to him. We had to pass guys throwing up in the street and hookers yelling at us. This was all at 2 in the afternoon I wonder what it's like at nighttime?
