Nothing real special happened this week that was worth remembering except one class on Friday. It was a class of 13 year olds who are usually pretty good for me, until today. 2 of the boys in the class who will remain nameless started pushing each other back and forth but it wasn't a big deal so I just kept pretending to teach you know the usual, until all of a sudden I heard a loud "whack," one of the boys open hand slapped the other right in the face. It wasn't that hard but it landed just right to be really loud, everyone went silent and they looked at me and I was thinking "oh my god was that funny" but couldn't let them know I thought that. So I did what any teacher would do in that situation, I laughed. I couldn't help it the look on the both kids faces were perfect one turned white and knew he was in trouble, and the other was like I can't believe you slapped me! Well I should not have laughed because it just snowballed after that they were punching each other, playing swords with their umbrella's and stabbing each other, and one girls shoe ended up out the window. It took the entire class to settle them down, I guess I learned my lesson.
On a separate note I was reading a paper a student wrote about "his best vacation ever," he went to Georgia to visit family and his favorite part was eating Taco Bell, i made him read it in front of the class and he described how good it was and how much he missed it, "me too Samuel, me too."
